Off late if one had followed the posts of this guy, one might have come across some posts referring to Jiddu Krishnamurti. And other posts reflecting the nature of ourselves and some marvellous tools of the universe. By this, we are not trying to do any propaganda or impose any beliefs or to comment about any particular ideology, but to be a mirror for oneself to see oneself clearly in daily lives. That was the very essence of Krishnamurti's message, though he didn't want to be quoted or seen as any Guru as mentioned by himself in some of his speeches, "K has no propaganda or any spiritual authority, but in all these talks and dialogues, K acts as a mirror for people to see themselves, once they can see themselves clearly, one can throw away this mirror". The motive of the foundation as the writer sees it, is to conduct the schools run by the foundation around the world and to maintain his talks and dialogues in digital form, which acts as a mirror for many including the writer.
The writer strongly feels that to understand others clearly either at home or workplace or anywhere, one must understand oneself clearly. If that is not then quoting Krishnamurti himself on this, "To seek clarity out of confusion is to further the confusion". To understand oneself implies to see ourselves as we are, and not as we want to be. This lays the foundation for empathy and deep connection in our relationships. One is always related to something or the other, our immediate circle, most importantly our relationship with nature, the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food made out of the plants we eat. All these give us energy and vitality.
Just wanted to add some interesting background about J Krishnamurti fondly called Krishna Ji by people who knew him well, as one the mind of oneself longs for a kind of psychological validation, this at least implies for the writer. In 1976 or January 1977, when the emergency was in place in India, Indira Gandhi Ji had reportedly consulted Krishna Ji on this, whom she held highly. At this point, Sanjay Gandhi the younger son of Indira Ji, wanted the emergency to continue. But Indira Ji had doubts, when she consulted Krishna Ji, he reportedly said her to listen to her inner voice. And then Indira Ji announced fresh elections in 1977. Points around this are being captured in her biography by Pupil Jayakar, a mutual friend between Indira Ji and Krishna Ji. Certainly, this is a turning point in Independent India's history, as this put India back on the path of Democracy.
Here is a speech made by Indira Ji in 1980 after she became PM again at the Rishi Valley School, Madanapalle addressing the students.
The writer had come across some other modern Gurus referring to Krishna Ji as a man of eternal love, but his teachings are highly intellectual to comprehend and may not be appropriate to current times. But the writer strongly feels that whatever Krishna Ji has spoken about is from the heart, out of compassion, not anything to do with the simulations of the mind but to understand the behaviour of it. Love can never be of the mind, it can only be of the heart. And if one follows Krishna Ji's talks, dialogues and books very closely, it is as same as the practical application of what the Gita and the Upanishads say.
But as one goes through this process the one may have to be absolutely quiet to be aware of it. The writer is observing that the more he expresses outwardly about this without going through the whole transformation, it would not be appropriate. There can be no better advocate than one's own thought, how easily it creates an image about someone or something, and how carefully it puts forward both negative and positive arguments by itself deceptively. If one observes very closely it is quite clear. Despair and Hope, Fear and Pleasure, Bad and Good are the two sides of the same coin, the thought. What is beyond this is inevitably beyond thought. Given all this, the writer might be taking a break from posting about this or about anything for some time, except occasional blogging. As he is clearly observing to an extent, the strengthening of the responses from the mind. Only when the mind is still one can see things and say them clearly.
The way of life put forward through this process is to pay attention and be a witness to minute details around us. That it is to be aware and alert of every present circumstance that we go through, for example, the sound of the fan, the brightness of the light, chirping of the birds, our communication with ourself and others etc. and our responses to it, step by step to start with. And to live a life in harmony and integration. A life of beauty !
Giving a couple of clips from Krishna Ji, if one is interested one may listen to it. He might not give direct answers, but he puts the listeners to answer for themselves if we attend to each word of what is being said. We are all living one beautiful life. Thank You !!
